Update

Have had a good few weeks with a few wedding and we were very lucky with the weather for all of them.
One of them was my best friend,s I did the two small bridesmaids hair and actually had my own hair done by a hairdresser for a change which felt really strange but very nice to sit back and relax for five minutes.
My friends wedding went really well, she looked amazing and from a message i got from her earlier she is enjoying her time on honeymoon with the weather topping 45 degrees :O.
It got me thinking about offering a wedding package of hair and make up, so i have signed up on a make up course and look forwards to starting it on 10th of september so look out for a post about my first day.

Wedding Hair ??

Okay so lets face it every bride tends to go for one of three bride styles
  • All Up and curly
  • Straight with half up and some height at the back
  • Down and curly with a bit pinned back.
What would you have?
How about something a bit more edgy?
Or even combining edgy with something more traditional?
You still have the curls but the height in the quiff and the smooth sides add something a bit different.
Or mabe adding something to the style that has lots of delicate detail?

There are so many things to choose from and so much depends upon your dress. If you have a very fussy dress do you really want over the top fussy hair? I wouldnt advise it but if you have an elegant dress you can get away with elegant hair or very fussy hair . Maybe something to think about when buying the dress! Dont forget the WHOLE package.
Maybe you could try what is the in thing at the moment amoung celebs, Lots of messy plaits and buns.

Keep tuned for photos of wedding hair I will be doing over the next few weeks x

Model PhotoShoots No.2

The same Photographer and make up artist but the model this time is Deena Coles.
Deena is not a model but stepped in at the last minute when the model that was ment to do the shoot became ill. Deena was fab slightly nervous but that doesnt show in the pictures at all she was a natural in front of the camera.
We went for an Urban themed shoot and used Newquay skate park due to the graffiti. The origional model had long hair so when i first saw Deena my plans went out the window as he has a short hairstyle so i decided to work with what she had.
I messed up the back with gel and hairspray and added a bit of height to the back leaving the front straight as it was already perfect for what we had in mind.
Not long after taking a few pictures it started raining and after waiting to see if it was going to pass we decided it wasnt and to plow on to get just a few more pics, so armed with coats and umbrellas to protect the equipment we made a dash for it. Deena was a star getting soaked for some great shoots.
Although she only did the shoot as a favour I am really hoping to work with her again as she was such a giggle and works brilliantly in front of the camera.

Model PhotoShoot No.1

My very first model shoot happened a few weeks ago on a thursday evening.
I am working with photographer Helen Morcom and make up artist Julie Wieczorek on model Taziri Taz

The photoshoot was carried out in Newquay, Cornwall near the cliffs. The wind was a bit of a barrier but with a massive can of hairspray it all worked out in the end. The model was brilliant holding herself in some rather uncomfortable positions for long periods of time and facing the cold winds with just a flimsey top on, What a tropper.

To fit in with the look we were going for I went for big hair lots of back combing to give the height and a sense of strengh that shows in the pictures. The make up was quite strong to also compliment the idea and Julie did a brilliant job.
Over all it was an amazing experiance and left me wanting more so roll on to the next one :D
